Is it spring?

I'm really glad that spring is here and (hopefully) is going to stay this time. My favorite time of year is when you can wear a t-shirt and jeans and feel comfortable outside. The yellow jessamine that is wrapped around a light post in my yard is blooming beautifully right now! I remember that last year when it bloomed it did not last very long, so I made sure to get a few pictures this time in case it didn't last long again.
I couldn't sleep at all a few nights ago and one of the times I woke up Dixie was completely hogging the bed and had stretched out her skinny little legs as far as possible. This happens fairly often, but I've never taken a picture, so here you go... The first one is the look she gave me after taking her picture in the middle of the night! The other one is her enjoying her sleep time!

Not much else has been going on lately, just work, but that keeps me busy and I enjoy it. I have had a few tough cases lately where I wish I could just make things all better for the kids I have been working with. Hopefully I can at least help make their time at school a little easier and more worthwhile. We also have Spring Break coming up next week, and the whole family is headed to Charleston! Should be a fun time :)

Tonight I am headed to a party a friend of mine is throwing in place of what was to be her wedding reception. Say some prayers for her and her family. The guy decided not to go through with it, but she is a very strong and wonderful person so I know she will get through it. She decided it would be a tough day and what better way to spend it than with her friends and family. I also have a baby shower tomorrow for one of my best friends from high school! I haven't gotten to see her pregnant in person yet... she lives in Charleston, so I'm very excited to see her!

Latest project...

My sister recently asked me to do something "unique" for a friend of hers that just had a baby. I found this idea on the Hobby Lobby website and changed it a little to fit what materials I could find. They are nameplates that could be hung on a doorknob, on a door, or wall, etc. wherever there is something to hang it on. The first one has a pocket that a picture could be put in. I didn't have room on the other two for the pocket, I wasn't thinking about it when I put the letters on there. I purposely tried to put the name written uneven, because I can NOT do something in a straight line, so it's much easier to make things uneven on purpose. Anyway, I am happy with them... I just gotta find some time to get the two I did for my friends to them! I don't want the kids to be in Kindergarten before they get them. :0)
